Empúries; 2 in Latin Emporiae; also called by some Blaberura was a Greek and Roman city located in the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula, in the Girona region of Alt Empordà founded in 575 BC.
Shared by both Greeks and Romans, it is located in the Bay of Roses in the municipality of l’Escala, and is the oldest and most important Greco-Roman archaeological site in the Alt Empordà region.
